ATT: MEMBER CHEQUES / CORRESPONDENCE

Posted November 21, 2024, 12:13pm

As many of you are aware, CUPW is on the picket lines fighting for their rights and benefits with Canada Post. We stand in solidarity with CUPW as they work to obtain a new reasonable collective agreement.

PEI UPSE uses Canada Post often for the distribution of our documents, correspondence, and cheques. In the interim, we are working on a contingency plan (for correspondence and all cheques).

For members who attended the convention, the office is working hard to generate the convention mileage cheques. The cheques will not be ready before December 2, so we ask that you remain patient. There is no need to call to inquire about the status of your cheque. We will let you know how the cheques can be delivered or picked up once they are ready.

Thank you for your understanding,

Karen Jackson, UPSE President

Let’s show solidarity with CUPW! Canada Post is one of our most cherished public institutions. It connects people, communities, and businesses across many different regions in Canada. Tell Canada Post CEO Doug Ettinger that you support CUPW in negotiations, that the post office cannot cut its way to growth, and that it must agree to solutions that benefit everyone – including workers.
