I would like to welcome Jason Rendell to the UPSE team! Jason is UPSE’s new Executive Director, and he brings a wealth of knowledge from his twenty plus years experience in the PEI Public Service. Jason has worked in both the provincial civil service and Health PEI in unionized and excluded roles. He began his career as a Financial Service Worker and progressively took on roles with greater responsibility. He has considerable experience working in negotiations and in the labour relations environment. This includes working with unions to seek solutions that benefit the worker and the workplace.
Jason believes in the importance of building and fostering healthy and productive teams. In his most recent position as Director of Human Resources at Health PEI he led a team of 8 managers and 47 employees. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Studies from UPEI, a designation as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and completed multiple leadership and management courses. The UPSE board, executive, staff, and I look forward to working with Jason. UPSE Proud!
