The UPSE Health Development and Training fund is available to members who are employed with Health PEI and covered under the PEI UPSE / Health PEI Collective Agreement. The fund provides Permanent and Temporary employees with up to $2000.00 for self-directed educational opportunities.

The education can be related to your current job responsibilities, as well as future job opportunities within Health PEI. You will find the application and guidelines on the UPSE Website (here).

Casual employees, who meet the hours worked threshold, are also eligible to apply for up to $800. Contact Cathy MacKinnon at cmackinnon@peiupse.ca or call (902) 892-5335 for questions and inquiries about the fund.

Also see information about funding for Civil Service Employees (Administered by the provincial government). The Development and Training Fund, a joint initiative of the Government and UPSE, is designed to provide funding to employees for learning opportunities, encourage employee participation, benefit career development and improve government service delivery to the citizens of this province.
