To the courageous workers battling the fires, coordinating emergency response, and assisting with evacuations—thank you for your strength, dedication, and service during these incredibly challenging times. Your efforts are nothing short of heroic.
We’re especially proud that UPSE members from Prince Edward Island have joined the effort. “Ten forest firefighters from the Island are in Saskatchewan to help with the wildfire situation in that province. There are also two Island forestry staff in Manitoba assisting with fires there in safety roles.” Their commitment to helping others in times of crisis speaks volumes about the strength of our union and the spirit of our province.
