The Prince Edward Island Union of Public Sector Employees joins Islanders in mourning the passing of Mark McLane, MLA for Cornwall-Meadowbank, and former Minister of Health. I had the pleasure of working with Mark on a variety of issues, and he was always willing to work together to find solutions. Mark served Islanders with dedication, compassion, and a deep commitment to his community. He understood the importance of teamwork and respect, values that resonate strongly with union members and workers across our province.
Beyond his public service, Mark was a devoted husband and proud father. Today, our thoughts are with his wife Margie, his daughters, and all those who knew and cared for him. We thank Mark for his service to Islanders and for his contributions to our province. He will be remembered for his steady leadership and his ability to bring people together, even in difficult times. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.
