Dear UPSE 24/7 Health PEI Members:
UPSE and Health PEI have entered into an agreement extension of the two Memorandum of Agreements “Working Extra Shifts on Evenings, Nights, Weekends & Holidays” and “MOA- Critical Shift Premiums”. The extension is from April 1, 2025 to September 15, 2025.
For clarification, part-time employees who work up to full time cannot pyramid the attached MOA with the MOA “Re: Incentivizing Employees to Work and Maintain Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Hours” which offers $1.07 per hour. If you receive the premium under MOA “Working Extra Shifts on Evenings, Nights, Weekends & Holidays” or “MOA- Critical Shift Premiums you will not receive the monies under the MOA – “Re: Incentivizing Employees to Work and Maintain Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Hours”
The purpose of this correspondence is to provide you with UPSE’s understanding of what was agreed to by the parties as it relates to the two Memorandums of Agreement noted above.
