As you are aware, Garden Home and UPSE recently reached a tentative agreement. The membership was made aware of the details of the agreement and asked to vote on their acceptance or rejection of the proposed contract.
The deadline for ballots to be returned was February 22, 2024. The ratification count was held at 2 pm on February 23, 2024, and the members of Garden Home sent a strong message to the employer by voting to reject their final offer.
In the next week, UPSE will be canvasing the membership to gain an understanding of the areas of concern for the membership and will return to the table to negotiate a revised compensation package.
