CALL FOR VACANT DIRECTOR POSITION: LOCAL 7UPSE’s Membership Services Committee has issued a call for nominations for a vacant Director position in Local 7. Nomination forms are available to print from the union’s website www.peiupse.ca, or by calling UPSE at 902-892-5335, or by email peiupse@peiupse.ca To be eligible for nomination as a Director a member must:• be in good standing for at least the previous twelve months (1 yr.)• be nominated by a member in good standing of the applicable local• have completed the Welcome to UPSE or equivalent courseNomination forms can be printed from the UPSE website and must be submitted to the union office by 4:30 pm on December 12, 2025. Civil Service/IRAC/WCBPay IncreasesUPSE has been informed by the employer that "members will see the economic increases reflected in their pay on December 4, 2025. Retro pays will follow, with those coming through the pay of January 29, 2026. The 10 & 15-year wage rates were negotiated to be effective the first day of the pay period following the signing of the Collective Agreement; however, unfortunately, we continue to work through the implementation of those, with them being brand new to UPSE Civil, therefore, we don’t yet have a definitive implementation date. That said, we continue to work through that process, and once implemented, eligible members will receive the 10/15 year wage rates retroactively to the first day of the pay period following signing of the collective agreement."If you have any questions please call UPSE at 902-892-5335. ...
