Those wishing to attend the Police and Peace Officers Memorial Service in Ottawa must complete an application form on the UPSE website.

A total of five members will be selected from Youth Workers (who work with youth in custody), Correctional Officers, Probation Officers, and the Sheriff department to attend the march. Representatives will be departing September 24 and returning on September 28, 2026. Applicants must be UPSE members in good standing.
Completed applications are to be returned to the UPSE office no later than August 24, 2026 @ 4:00 p.m.
For those members requiring uniforms for the service, please contact the Stores Supervisor at PCC. As
well, all out-of-province travel claims are to be submitted a minimum of 20 days prior to departure to the
respective Manager so it can be forwarded for approval at the Deputy’s level.
Accommodations are provided by UPSE. Van transportation will be provided by Community and
Correctional Services and two (2) days paid leave (for scheduled shifts) will be provided by the
employees’ respective work sites. The balance of time taken by employees for scheduled
shifts will be covered by UPSE.
